Stella Bella Semillon Sauvignon

Stella Bella Semillon Sauvignon

Stella Bella Semillon Sauvignon – classic Margaret River blend of crisp, grassy sauvignon and tangy, citrussy semillon. Vibrant, massively refreshing.

This quintessential Margaret River blend is made to suit the beautiful Margaret River lifestyle. Perfect at the beach, paired with local produce and shared with good friends.
Our Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted throughout our collection of southern Margaret River vineyards providing the ability to capture strong varietal character and maintain high natural acidity. Using a combination of sites provides great varietal complexity.

Cooler temperatures and some unusual rainfall required diligent viticulture to ensure the fruit was in perfect condition. This resulted in the development of ripe flavours at low sugar levels and high natural acidity in white varieties, providing the perfect balance to an create aromatic and precise wine.

Stella Bella Semillon Sauvignon is pale straw with green hues in colour. It has a delightful aroma of a charming combination of citrus, passionfruit, guava and lemon meringue with a sea spray freshness and restrained savoury straw character.

On the palate it produces citrus flavours of lemon and lime which are complimented by the natural mineral acidity. The textural palate and rounded flavours create a very pleasing supple and salivating finish.

High yields in Semillon meant only the best parcels with moderate crop loads were used. Semillon was fermented in tank and 15% of the Sauvignon Blanc in old oak. Creating the perfect harmony between the two varietals… Sauvignon Blanc providing punchy perfume and Semillon delivering plush palate texture.

It naturally pairs with freshly caught Augusta King George Whiting, a seasonal salad and local Yallingup Woodfired Bread.

Stella Bella

“Part of Suckfizzle under guidance of winemakers Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald.
The Stella Bella wines are the creation of fruit selected from vineyard sites and blends of sub-regions within Margaret River.
These wines provide the future production growth, with deference to the regional expression of Margaret River, and without compromising quality, individuality or character.

Western Australia

Regarded as one of Australia’s best wine producing regions. It is synonymous with a new era in Australian wine. Margaret River really began its vineyard life as a result of two research reports from Californian viticulturalist Professor Harold Olmo and the Western Australian scientist Dr John Gladstone. In 1965 Dr Gladstone’s report indicated that the region had all the attributes to produce world quality wines. This advise was acted on by Dr Tom Cullity who set up his Vasse Felix vineyard near Willyabrup, followed by Dr Kevin Cullen and his wife Di who set up Cullen Wines. The climate is regarded as ‘cool’ because of its long slow ripening season. This region is regarded along with Coonawarra and the Yarra Valley as one of the premium Cabernet Sauvignon areas in Australia. The main wine styles: Red – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet-Merlot, Shiraz; White – Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc, Verdelho.
