Great Wines Greywacke Mollydooker
Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc, made by Kevin Judd maker of the original Cloudy Bay is now in stock. Greywacke was created in 2009 by Kevin Judd, who was previously the chief winemaker at Cloudy Bay from its inception for 25 years and instrumental in the international recognition which Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc enjoys now.The name ‘Greywacke’ was adopted by Kevin for his first Marlborough vineyard located in Rapaura in recognition of the high prevalence of rounded greywacke river stones in the soils of the vineyard, a sedimentary rock which is widely found in Marlborough. Kevin Judd is also New Zealand’s finest wine photographer and has recently published a book ‘The Landscape of New Zealand Wine’.
Greywacke has aromas of cassis and passionfruit are first to emerge, with guava, crisp pear and white peach adding a delicious fruit salad intricacy. On the palate, it’s generous yet refreshing, with ripe pineapple and a lime sherbet zing, layered with elderflower and hints of citrus blossom. A classic example of Greywacke’s interpretation of the famous Marlborough style – ripe, textural and scrumptious – with the volume turned well down. Truly scrumptious wine.
OK, we added Greywacke to the www.veganwineonline.co.uk site and it sold out within an hour. It is now back in stock, and we have added the tremendous Greywacke Marlborough Chardonnay to it. We believe there is plenty of stock, but we do not know who amongst you checked the website only to find an out-of-stock situation. I hope this will not happen again. Big bold beautiful Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, not strictly Australian, but worth a place on any website. We also have his Marlborough Chardonnay in stock, again a truly wonderful addition to the site. These are Kiwi wines, but as great examples from a renowned winemaker, we feel they have a place here.

Another Kiwi interloper on the site is The Cloud Factory winery. This very popular wine is difficult to get hold of at the moment, but we do have plenty of stock, enough to reach December at least. Two great wines that punch well above their weight, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

New Mollydooker Wines
OK, we have gone the whole hog and now stock all the Mollydooker wines that are available in the UK. New to us are Euphoria Sparkling Verdelho and Summer of 69 Verdelho. These are now available on our website on the Mollydooker page. There are a couple of Mollydooker wines that are out of stock, and these should be available before Christmas, but this cannot be guaranteed. We do have Velvet Glove in stock, but this is very limited.
Euphoria Sparkling Verdelho is a full Sparkler. The bottle is a stunner. The wine has uplifting citrus aromas, fresh apple and stone fruit characters which fill the mouth. The crisp, zesty acid dances amongst the fine bubbles and enlivens the palate, giving the wine a fresh & vibrant finish. This Sparkling Verdelho is simple, fun and uncomplicated…just like life should be!
Summer of 69 (also known as Summer of Love) is a Verdelho from this eclectic superb winery. A fragrant bouquet of citrus and melon greets you followed by a hint of sherbet. Fresh pineapple and white peach fill out the palate, giving the wine a light, summery feel that keeps you going back for that next glass. Fruit is picked overnight to retain fresh fruit flavours and acid balance. Oxidative processed, lightly pressed and racked before fermenting with a selected yeast in stainless steel. The grapes were grown on the Gemtree Vineyard in McLaren Vale. Crafted specifically for those warm, balmy days and nights, the 2021 Summer of ’69 is perfect for sharing amongst friends. Maybe you can play Bryan Adams as you drink it and sing along.

In conjunction with Philip Shaw Wines, we are offering a 10% discount on all purchases of Philip Shaw wines in November. The Philip Shaw winery is very different from most other Aussie wineries and offers wines from grapes harvested at higher altitude, and a colder climate. Intense flavours are the order of the day from this great family run winery.
We now have over 450 different wines for sale on the website. More will be added at the beginning of December. Some may well disappear as they go out of stock.
Corporate/Multiple Orders
Email us with your requirements and we will do the rest. No need to complete multiple individual orders, and we will set up a single payment for the total sum. We have provided this service for many years and can include gift boxes and personalised messages. Please let us know as early as possible so that we can schedule our workload accordingly.
Christmas Orders
We can take orders at any time and hold them for delivery as specified by you. This reduces the risk of anything being unavailable due to expectedly high sales. At the moment we have over 95% of our listings in stock, however this will change as Christmas approaches.
The last day for “normal” fulfilment of orders is 22nd December, however the earlier the better. If there is a problem with delivery it often takes several days to resolve this with the resultant effect on a Christmas delivery.
