Foundstone Rose
Pale salmon in colour with bronze hues. Aromas of raspberry and strawberry with nuances of dried apricot. Fruit flavours of pomegranate, pink-lady apple and cranberry all feature in a lively palate with crunchy acidity. The wi Cooler summer conditions along with idyllic rainfall enabled an extended ripening period, producing wines with optimum acid retention and vibrant fruit flavours. The fruit was harvested in mid – February, in the cool of the night and immediately crushed, destemmed and chilled to press to minimise juice contact with the red coloured skins of the grape. The free run juice portion is retained and fermented at a low temperature using a carefully selected yeast that promotes varietal expression. After a short time on yeast lees, the wine is blended and filtered for bottling to retain vibrancy and fresh fruit flavours.ne finishes with soft strawberry cream notes.
Enjoy as an aperitif or as a compliment with fresh seafood such as natural oysters and prawns.
The Foundstone Rose displays lifted aromas of freshly cut lime and juicy ripe pear, leading to a zesty, crisp palate of granny smith apple and nashi pear with subtle hints of lemon grass.

Established by Bob & Cherie Berton in May 1996 with 75 acres of land at 450m above sea level on gently rolling hills in a sub-region of Eden Valley in South Australia. The Reserve Shiraz and Reserve Chardonnay wines are still sourced from this plot. In 2007 Bob purchased the Yenda winery in the heart of the Riverina. This state of the art facility allows Berton Vineyards to produce value for money wines which sit alongside his premium single vineyard offerings.

The Berton Vineyards story began 25 years ago from humble beginnings.
We are still young enough to be awed by tradition but we also challenge ourselves by testing the boundaries of winemaking.
We pride ourselves on being a contemporary winery with an emphasis on all that is casual, friendly and approachable in wine. Our philosophy is to make affordable, easy drinking wines of quality achieved through pairing modern technology with traditional techniques.
Testament to our philosophy are our award winning wines such as our High Eden Bonsai Shiraz, Reserve Botrytis Semillon and Metal Label range.
The Eden Valley is between 400 and 600 metres in the Barossa Range, part of the Mount Lofty Range. It shares it historical roots with the Barossa Valley. Yalumba has substantial vineyard holdings, and a winery at Angaston, the site of the first vines planted by founder Samuel Smith in 1849. The cool climate provides ideal conditions for the production of high quality Riesling, Chardonnay and Shiraz wine.
