The Accomplice Chardonnay
Let the Accomplice be your partner in wine. Cheeky, fun, easy drinking wine for everyday.
Light straw colour with lifted aromas of ripe peach and nectarine complemented with decent lick of vanillan oak. The palate is soft and creamy and exhibits ripe stone fruits with integrated oak and a gentle, very long finish.
A bouquet of fresh lemon pith with complexing brioche and barley sugar. The palate is treated to a voluminous mousse of citrus and freshly iced pastries that goes on and on. To the eye a pale straw hue with an unrelenting fine bead.
The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are picked in the cool of the night to retain acid. Ferments are warm to add interest and mouth feel. Harmony in the wine comes from the blending of the two varieties over numerous vintages. A secondary ferment is then undertaken in tank to add weight and a lovely creamy texture to the wine.

Their son, the energetic and dynamic Deen De Bortoli, (b 1936 – d 2003) expanded and consolidated the business created by his parents. Deen’s children established De Bortoli’s reputation for premium wine including icon dessert wine Noble One and the Yarra Valley wines.”
